The Binky Grabber

On Sunday we go to church like a good little family. While we are there, Karah goes to the nursery so that she can play with the other babies. Last Sunday, Josh Scott informed me that Karah stole his son's (Cayden) pacifier and stuck it in her mouth. So I thought to myself that maybe I should pack a binky for while she's at church (she normally only gets a binky while she's sleeping). So this Sunday I gave Karah a binky while we were walking to the nursery. After service I went to pick her up and her teacher told me that she was still taking other babies binkies!!!

Swimming

Joe & I took Karah swimming at Alum Creek (State Park about 10 minutes from our house). At first she didn't like the water, I think she thought it was too cold. But after 10 minutes or so in the water, she really started having fun. She wouldn't let us hold her, she wanted to walk in the sand. Then we all sat on the shore and splashed in the water. I think that she liked the waves.

We got her a little baby pool to swim in while we are at home. She really likes the pool. But she does want to stick her face straight down into the water. I'm not sure what that's about but she seems to like it. She also had fun pulling out the grass around the swimming pool and bringing it into the pool with her. She also wanted to bite the pool (she's getting a new tooth). I look forward to spending many days pool-side!

And Now She's Off

Yes, it has finally happened. My baby girl is walking and walking exceptionally well. We bought her first pair of shoes a couple of weeks ago, she totally hates them. However, when we are in the car she loves to chew on her shoelaces.

Her favortite thing to do is follow MuShoo around the house. Then they spend awhile looking out the front window watching the construction across the street.

She also likes to touch the TV. I know that I tell her 100 times a day to not touch the TV. It is a nightly ritual to Windex the TV, front window, and the patio sliding door.
