Karah & MuShoo

I thought that these pictures were so cute! Karah cornered MuShoo in the dining room and was trying to pull his ID tags off. MuShoo, of course, just licked her.

Standing in her crib

Last week I went to get Karah from her crib after a nap and I was very stunned to see her smiling at me while standing in her crib. Karah grinned at me like she was so proud of herself. I am still recovering from the shock that she is pulling herself up... she won't even pull herself up into a sitting position. She went right for the big one!

The problem we are having now is that she doesn't know how to sit down. When she gets tired of standing, she just lets go. Last week she had 3 purple bruises on her head from where she hit it on her crib. So for now, Miss Karah is sleeping in her playpen in her room. We work with her everyday trying to teach her how to fall on her bottom.

Karah & Shane

Last week we were in Columbus for a family get together with Joe's family. On this trip we met Shane (Karah's cousin) for the very first time. Shane is two moths old and very adoable. I think that Karah liked being around him as well.

At one point, Karah tried to take Shane's pacifier and stick it in her mouth. She also was fascinated with his socks and feet. We had to keep pulling her away so she wouldn't take off his socks. However, one time she reached over so quickly and pulled his sock off! She of course stuck it in her mouth before we could get it off of her. Sorry, Shane!

Eight Months Old

Well, my baby is getting older... She is now eight months old. Since my last report, Karah has gotten her second tooth, which is located right next to her first one. She has learned two new words, ba ba (bottle) and na na (no no).

She is scooting around everywhere and constantly touching and grabbing things that she's not suppose to. Her favorite thing to do right now is to chase MuShoo (our puppy) around the living room. MuShoo has smartened up and now will run outside or to the basement when she pulls on his fur. She also likes to chase the Roomba (self-running vacuum cleaner).

She is getting very close to crawling. She will get her belly off the ground and get excited like she's going to go but then she falls down. I expect her to put all the pieces together soon... God be with me then!

Last week, we stayed at a hotel in Columbus and Joe tried to put her in the swimming pool with him, but she totally hated it and tried to climb up Joe to get out of the water. We think that the water was too cold and that it was too noisy with all the people being in there too. So we are hoping that she will enjoy being in a pool this summer.
