Finally!!

After much drool and fussiness... Karah's first tooth made an appearance. I first saw it on March 27. I actually had called the doctor because she stopped eating and was pulling on her ear. So I was concerned that she had an ear infection. While putting her coat on her before going to the doctor, I happened to catch a glimpse in her mouth and there was the tooth.

I took her to the doctor anyway just to make sure that her ear was okay, which it was. Karah was funny at the doctors because she wouldn't let him look at her tooth. Every time he went to look in her mouth, she stuck her tongue out (her tooth is on the bottom). He tried every trick in the book to look at her tooth and she wanted no part of it.

Ma Ma

Karah surprised me the other day. I was in our bedroom, which is off of the living room, and Karah was in her walker. She "walked" herself to our bedroom door and yelled at me, "Ma Ma". I stood there kind of surprised, first that my 7 month old was yelling at me and second that she called me Ma Ma. I quickly ran to her and gave her lots of kisses and she laughed at me.

Sometimes when she wakes up from a nap or in the morning, she will start calling me. I haven't heard her call for Joe yet. So she might have said Da da first but she thinks of me first in the morning.
